CHARLOTTE, NC (AP) -- Sometimes it's easier than other times to find robbers. Police in Charlotte, Gastonia and Fayetteville say they made arrests in several robberies this week by tracking snow prints. Charlotte police say tracks led them to a pair of suspects in two convenience store robberies Wednesday. Police say they followed prints from one of the stores to a residence where they arrested the two men. The same thing happened in Fayetteville. Police say someone took three laptop computers from a business just after midnight Wednesday. Sgt. Manuel DeJesus says officers tracked footprints to a home and arrested a suspect. Another suspect was tracked by snow prints in a gasoline station holdup several hours later. Gastonia police made an arrest in a series of car break-ins by tracking footprints in the snow.
