That's just scary!!!! Pasteurization was created not only to kill bacteria but more importantly to extend Shelf life of milk. With UHT, the milk is heated up at such high temps (approximately 280 degrees) and at a very short time (a few seconds) that it changes the molecules in the milk. These molecules are naturally in the milk and are needed for absorption into the body and for proper digestion. When these changed proteins enter the body, the body sees them as foreign and launches an immune response. So while ultra-pasteurization kills bacteria, it also kills beneficial bacteria (probiotics) and damages the good benefits of milk such as vitamins and minerals. In this case, why drink it at all? BTW, while most "organic" milks on the supermarket shelves boast health, most are also ultra pasteurized.
