WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The Wilmington Junior Golf Academy gives children the opportunity to play golf for free. Found Jake Hunt says everyone in the community benefits from the program because the kids who tee off leave the green with important character traits; they'll grow up to be mature adults who contribute to the local community. There is no cost to participants and the organization is completely run by volunteers. Not one person draws a salary. Next week, Wilmington Junior Golf Academy will host a fundraiser at Carrabba's Italian Grill. The cost is just $25 per person and includes a full meal with dessert. Call (910) 794-9094 to confirm your attendance. Watch Hunt's full interview from Good Morning Carolina, then check out his website to see the great impact he has on area youth. http://www.wilmingtonjuniorgolfacademy.com/
