RALEIGH, NC (AP) -- Two televised debates and possibly a third will air later this month so North Caroilna voters can learn more about some of the eight Republican U.S. Senate candidates.

The first is slated for April 22 at Davidson College. Time Warner Cable News will broadcast the hour-long debate, which also will be streamed by co-sponsors The Charlotte Observer and The News & Observer of Raleigh.

The participating candidates will be Greg Brannon, Heather Grant, Mark Harris and Thom Tillis.

Tillis, Brannon and Grant currently are scheduled to appear April 23 at a half-hour debate at the WRAL-TV studios in Raleigh. Early voting begins April 24 for the May 6 primary.

And UNC-TV says it's invited Harris, Brannon and Tillis to an April 28 debate at the network's Research Triangle Park studios.
