Supply man charged with two counts of attempted murder


SUPPLY, NC (WWAY) -- Brunswick County Sheriff's Office arrested 36 year-old William Calvin Steward after he fired a weapon into a car seriously injuring two people Friday night.

Reports say they were outside a party at Stewards home on Eastfield Lane when he pulled out a rifle and shot Iqueisha Collins and Deontray Bryant.

Steward has been charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury, one count of discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling/moving vehicle, and one count of maiming without malice.

Steward is currently being held in the Brunswick County Detention Facility under a $1,000,000 bond.
