Four charged in Leland construction site thefts


LELAND, NC (WWAY) -- Leland Police have charged four men wanted for months for allegedly stealing from construction sites.

Police say a three-month-long investigation ended with 70 counts of felony larceny from a permitted construction site for Kenneth Russ, William West, Thomas Jones and Daniel Barnes. Investigators say the men are charged with breaking into 23 houses being built as well as numerous other construction sites. They are also accused of stealing property and material from Brunswick Forest Development.
