More than 800 bikers rode into Wilmington Sunday. It was the 15th annual Toys for Tots drive at Carolina Coast Harley Davidson on Market street. Some participants said more than 300 bikers showed up and rode in the rain last year. The price of admission was one toy per rider. With those and other donations, the store collected more than 1000 toys. Lynn Sanderson rode in from 50 miles away to make her donation. "I think it's important that if you're able to enjoy something on your own that you give back," Sanderson said about the toy drive. "Also it shows the community at large that people who ride a Harley Davidson or any bike are upstanding citizens and we want to do things to help out as well." Donations included everything from bikes to stuffed animals. The toys will be collected by the US Marine Corps and delivered to needy children for Christmas.
