I am curious as to what the laws are concerning the missing that you are talking about. Also, is there a difference between missing children cases and missing adult cases? In the end wouldn't make more sense to rule out any type of foul play on a case first when a person is reported missing? That way if it is discovered that they are not a walk away the case is not cold.
