Local kids visit Santa

READ MORE: Local kids visit Santa
WILMINGTON -- With Christmas right around the corner thousands of kids are trying to squeeze in some time with the one and only Mr. Claus. NewsChannel 3's Dana Brancato caught up with a few children who got their final requests in to Santa Friday morning at Independence Mall. It seems the elves have their work cut out for them this year. With less than four days left before Christmas the wish lists are still pouring in. Both young, and old find joy in the age-old tradition of letting Santa know about the perfect present. Before kids can get those presents from Santa though there's one thing he needs to know. "Now the hard questions, have you been a good girl?" Santa asked. Santa will be in the Belk wing of the mall until five o'clock Christmas Eve. And then it's up to the North Pole before he takes of to make all those deliveries.
