When David Beckham suits up for the Los Angeles Galaxy this summer, he might play against a former UNCW star. Former Seahawk goalkeeper Brad Knighton plans to sign this week with Major League Soccer's New England Revolution. He found out over the weekend that the team would offer him a contract while attending a preseason camp with the Revolution in Bermuda. Knighton's college coach, Aidan Heaney, guarded the goal for New England back in 1996. Knighton will go to Revolution's develomental team, but will practice with the big league club. He would be the first Seahawk to make it to America's top soccer league.
