Officer shoots man at suspected gambling house

Being that uit was probably video poker machines that are fairly large, why didn't the police serve the warrants during the day or at a time no one would be there to be possibly harmed. It says the police new the owner(s) and their past histories. Couldn't they have served the search warrants and arrested the suspects without entering when other gamblers were inside? It reminds me of the Strickland case. Alot of people thought the police should have waited to pick him up away from the home. Patience was preached. I know people like Mark Benson will always critizize the Sheriffs Department and not find fault with WPD. I just think while the shooting seems justified and the police did their job, it could've been done without entering the business while it was occupied by players and watched over by an armed person. Just my two cents.
