RALEIGH (AP) -- North Carolina, Virginia and Virginia Tech all share first place in the Atlantic Coast Conference at 10-4.
At least one of them will give up their portion tonight.
The eighth-ranked Tar Heels are on the road to face Georgia Tech. Number 21 Virginia Tech is in Charlottesville to play the Cavaliers. They're the only two games on the schedule leading up to the final weekend of the regular season.
Following last night's play, Wake Forest and Miami now occupy the ACC cellar.
North Carolina State climbed out of the three-way tie for last with a victory over the Demon Deacons. Number 24 Maryland won its sixth in a row last night, beating Number 14 Duke to pull into fifth place in the conference behind Boston College.
The Blue Devils trail Maryland by a game in the league standings.
