I have difficulties believing this will happen by the year 2020. It starts at the top and our politicians (most anyway) aren't willing to put the rules in place to decrease the amount of pollutants in to our waterways. That would mean all developers would need to make the decision to do what is right for the environment, the reason why folks move here, because that may mean their bottom line would be less. As you know ocean front highrises are continuing to be approved at Carolina Beach and that is destroying the beauty of the island. I prefer natural space over green space anyday. When I'm standing on the beach & look east unimaginable beauty but when I turn around & look west all I see is ugliness & greed. Our local politicians at Carolina Beach truly don't care about providing a safe & healthy environment for future generations all they care about is how many more millions can we make.
