The article doesn't say where along 210 the shelter is proposed. As a long time volunteer and supporter of animal shelters, I know there are various problems associated with their presence. I have also been to Topsail Humane Society and I can attest that it is desperately in need of more space and VOLUNTEERS! They keep the entire space as clean as possible and the noise level has been acceptable on each of my visits. With a new space, adaptations can be made to make the accomodations more sound proofed. And with extra space, sanitary conditions will be much easier to control. On 210 there would be easier access for people who are wanting to bring a pet into their lives and homes. But, where are they planning on putting it????
