Yes, there is a local grooming establishment that sells puppies. I take my dogs to this establishment to be groomed (BTW, the groomer does an excellent job). About puppy mills, I hate to admit that I purchased a puppy from a puppy mill in Watha. Our dog had just died, and I was desperately wanted another dog. I was ignorant about the existence of puppy mills. I found a breeder in Watha on-line, saw a picture of the puppy, and sent her a deposit check. When we went to pick up our puppy, it was clear that she was running a puppy mill. There were dog crates stacked on top of dog crates - 3 to 4 high - everywhere! We took our puppy home, and he was very sick. I stayed with him 24/7 for about a week nursing him back to health. He slept with me in bed on my stomach so I could keep him warm. I am now a much more informed American. I will definitely adopt the next time we bring a new animal home.
