Tami, I totally agree. A person breeding out of their home and registered as a breeder with the AKC has a right to determine when someone can show up on their doorstep. My wife and I bought a Yorkie last year and took nearly 8 months of research and "scheduled" visits to finally find the breeder and puppy that were right for us. People need to use their heads and do the research. With the Yorkie breed we found out according to the AKC and American Yorkshire Terrier Club that, OMG, hold on now, there is no such thing as a "Tea Cup" or "Toy" Yorkie and the AKC does not recognize or authorize this ultra-small breeding practice. These are just ways of underhanded breeders to get people to buy the ulta-small dogs which by-the-way, usually have many health problems. Go the the AKC website and search the breed you are interested in, do your research and find the breeder that fits you. If people would stop and think before they act we can put these puppy mills out of business.
