This will undoubtedly shock you, Barney, but I don't CARE how many Iraqis have been killed. In war, you destroy the enemy and his will to fight. Exactly how many enemy you have to destroy is entirely up to him....or it SHOULD be.
That's where Bush made his mistake. You do NOT stop offensive operations and tell your enemy when he's had enough. War, for all it's technical sophistication, is remarkably a slugfest like any Saturday night bar fight. Your opponent tells YOU when he's had enough - you don't tell him, because he just might surprise you.
George Bush got surprised.
War is neither right nor wrong, good nor bad, moral nor immoral. War is simply an extension of politics by other means. (Clausewitz) War should be a nation's last resort, but when the war starts you do all you can to emerge victorious.
That's ALL that matters.
You seem intelligent, but until you go to war and LEARN the art and science of war, you lack credibility, and will have to rely upon rhetoric and fantastic (in the truest sense of that word) statistics.
