Better question: where is the Internal Revenue Service or the feds on all of this?
Based on what I've read so far: the IRS should climb up the behinds (with a microscope) of not only Thomas Wright, but Dan Gottovi (the "treasurer"), the donors who contributed to the so-called charities, and the bank that issued the loan.
Calling an organization a 501 (c) 3 charity - which is tax exempt, is serious business and requires extensive paperwork with i's dotted and t's crossed.
The adjunct people associated with this were either asleep at the switch (read: incompetent) or deliberate in the fraud too. Either way, punishment is in order for more than just Mr. Wright himself.
