It sounds like Mr. Pickett was a good police officer in Wallace that gave the ultimate sacrifice for his country. If more officers were outstanding citizens ready to protect their county and their country, then Brunswick County wouldn't have the mess they have now. I would like to extend my condolences to his wife, children, and family. His ultimate sacrifice for the sake of our country is worthy of all the respect due other officers have died in the line of duty.
