The Azalea Festival Horse Show

READ MORE:
The Azalea Festival Horse Show was this morning and it turned out to be a big day for Hailey Williams and her horse, Bingo, as she competed in her 10th Azalea Festival Horse Show. She competed in Western Pleasure in the walk and trot class and ended up winning the blue first place ribbon. Hailey says her drive and determination helped her to win this year. Dozens of people came out to Shingleton Farms in Hampstead to watch the show. Spectator Dwayne Johnson said, “I love them. I was born and raised here. I just moved back from Tulsa, Oklahoma and I'm glad to see them again. It's grown a lot and I love horse shows." The show seemed to be fun for people of all ages, a true family event. Organizers of the horse show say overall the weekend was a success and that they are already looking forward to next year's competition. Lindsey Jacks, one of the show’s organizers, says she hopes next years show is bigger and better. She says “we're learning more and more just putting the show on and hope to get more and more spectators and more and more competitors." As for this year’s big winner, Hailey Williams, she is going home happy. The Seagate Saddle Club will have their final Azalea Festival Horse Show next Saturday, April 19. It will be an English show and will start at 9 in the morning.
