READ MORE: Coastal Carolina Air Show soars into Wilmington
If you're looking for a thrill, look no further than this year's Coastal Carolina Air Show. It all kicks off this weekend. Thursday, NewsChannel 3 got a preview of one unique plane and pilot featured in this year's show. The Fagen M-X 2 is the first and only propeller airplane powered solely off of ethanol fuel. World renowned pilot, Greg Poe, will be at the controls. "The Fagan MX2 is unique is that it's made of carbon fiber and it's really high tech," Poe said. "But what's really amazing about it is that we power it with ethanol fuel, so the fuel in this airplane is that it's grown right here in the US, it's made from corn there's less carbon emissions from that will come from it." Gates open Saturday at 8am at the Wilmington International Airport. The show starts at 11 a.m., and continues through 5 p.m. For more info visit www.coastalcarolinaairshow.com.
