Guns in colleges

This subject is very controversial and I can see both sides of it. I can't even begin to imagine the horror that those at VA Tech or other campuses have gone through with having a shooter come through the school and kill or injure with no seemingly sense of remorse. The fear must be unbearable and I pray for the families of those who had to endure that nightmare. I can't blame the students for wanting to be protected but the other side of that scares me also. What if there was a shooting and some of the students were armed and a police or swat team member walks in and sees several guns. He has a split second to react. How will he know who the shooter is? Will an innocent person die because they were standing with a drawn weapon? It is something to think about. Emotions run high on both sides and common sense needs to prevail.
