Lifeguard shortage in Wilmington

Since it is warming up outside, more people are cooling down at our area pools. Once they get there, they might find something lacking. There is a shortage of lifeguards, and there has been for two straight summers. Wilmington has three public pools. City leaders want to hire at least five lifeguards quickly. Tammy Skinner, public pools manager said, "The pools are really a great place to work I think it would be a great summer job to have."
