Pair found dead in mobile home victims of heat stroke

GREENVILLE -- Authorities say two people found dead in a mobile home outside Greenville died of heat stroke. The Daily Reflector of Greenville reported Wednesday that the cause of death was determined Tuesday by a medical examiner for 45-year-old David Ray Sherrod and his 66-year-old aunt, Daisy Gray Joyner. Pitt County Sheriff's Office Chief Lee Moore said Joyner and Sherrod were last seen Friday. He said their air conditioning had been broken for at least a week. A neighbor discovered their bodies after noticing their mail hadn't been collected. Information from: The Daily Reflector, (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
