My mother is on disability and according to the guidelines for qualifying for the stimulus payment; she was eligible. When filing the return she needed her previous year's total income amount. She called social security and they have been telling her and many others that they are not eligible and would not disclose the amount she received. So she called again and told them that social service needed her info and she filed. She got a letter from IRS stating that she will be expecting her check shortly. Why is social security withholding their information and telling people that they're not eligible when they are?
