I believe that city residents SHOULD be taxed at a reduced rate by the county because of services that are provided by the city. You believe that everyone should be as abused and overtaxed as you. I fully understand that your misery longs for company, but what you need to understand is that the number of county residents who don't need or use the city for anything at all is far larger than you realize. I have neighbors who can't remember the last time they were in Wilmington. Oh, whenever you mention the water and sewer consolidation, don't forget to throw in "...have been consolidated in direct opposition to the wishes of the voters, who made it clear not once, but twice, that they did not want to consolidate the county and city government functions."
