If a 16-year-old girl is gone and has no history of taking off, if there is no evidence she planned to leave, and all who know her say voluntarily leaving is out of character for her, why shouldn't an Amber Alert be issued on the grounds of strongly suspected abduction? The announcement should be made to help the family recover their child under these circumstances.
