Temperature changes, reaction can affect your health

READ MORE:
NEW HANOVER COUNTY -- The sun is out, temperatures are warming, The Azalea Festival is right around the corner. People seem to be in a good mood. The mood change and increased activity level can affect your health. Runner Leah Duquette said, "Just being out in the sun puts me in a good mood and knowing that my dog's getting some good exercise too." Dylan Stephenson said, “The sunshine definitely causes a positive state of mind, it’s a positive feeling releasing those endorphins, running out here doing cardio." Health Education Supervisor, Elisabeth Constandy said, "Increased activity can prevent long-term illness, can prevent heart disease, lower blood pressure can help prevent and manage diabetes if you're physically active.” So enjoy the warmer weather, play ball, workout, bike ride, just get outside -- it could improve your life. While you're enjoying the outdoors, doctors say you need to remember to protect your skin. The American Cancer Society recommends using an SPF of 15 if you're out in the sun.
