Kids Making It to hold fundraiser

A group that helps at-risk kids learn marketable skills is getting ready for a magical money-making event. Kids Making It teaches kids wood working skills. They use those lessons to make items to sell at the organization's retail store in Wilmington. Saturday night Kids Making It is sponsoring the Making Magic benefit. The benefit includes a silent auction, and magical entertainment. Kids Making It program director Jimmy Pierce said, "We have some kids who sometime earn the only income in the family. But they all have a wonderful time." Making Magic begins with a magic show for kids at 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon at Level 5 at City Stage. Then the benefit for adults is at 6:30 p.m. For tickets, call 910-815-3426.
