Lifeguard competition being held at Carolina Beach

Let the games begin! No, not the Olympics, it's the annual South Atlantic Lifeguard Competition. More than 200 lifeguards from Virginia Beach to Daytona Florida are taking part. Events include an array of beach and water relays. Simon Sanders of Carolina Beach Ocean Rescue says overall, competition is pretty friendly. "It's more a team building, working together but there's still certain beaches we'd like least do better than. So it's going to be a fun event," said Sanders. The games will continue all day tomorrow from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. in Carolina Beach.
