Well the state Republicans are hoping to invite the voters, you know regular North Carolinians, to decide an important issue...off shore drilling. Is this a nod toward all the recent voter dissent, about being "non-represented" during other recent government decisions? We are talking forced annexation, heavy industry approvals, commercial/industrial incentive packages, a downtown Convention Center, tax increases, all right here in New Hanover County. Or is it just another political ploy?
