I know that is sad but true. Most people that drink and drive don't care. They know that nothing will ever happen to them. My sister was hit head-on by a drunk driver. Glad to say, she lived. He had a suspended license from, you guessed it, DUI, loaded fire arm, wrong tags on the car, no insurance, on probation, the whole 9 yards. When he sobered up in the hospital, he thought he only ran into a ditch. Didn't know he hit anyone. Guess what he got. More probation, and had to pay her $50.00 a month for 5 years to cover damages. Judge says you can't get money from people that don't have any.
