I heard this bill discussed on legislative review by Rep. Lucy Allen and Rep. Rick Killian. Interestingly enough, it was well lobbied for by The League of Municipalities, especially before the paragraph about the meters on private irrigation systems was taken out. Just another instance of the behind the scenes assault on our rights as individuals to live in a democracy. The battle was won this time on this bill. But today two others were lost when Rep. Joe Hackney and Senator Tony Rand singlehandedly stopped two bills geared to protect the individual rather than the government. It's wrong for two men to have that much power and to listen to lobbyists rather than the people of North Carolina. It's time for a change of leadership in our House and Senate. Otherwise the people of North Carolina will continue to be deprived of justice! It's also time to investigate The League, since it's our taxpayer money that funds it and is being used against us.If you watch, you will see that most bills The League lobbys for are set up to take rights from the people and give them to some form of government.
