When I moved here in '98, NC had the lowest gas tax in the nation. That's when we had Faircloth & other Republicans running this state & they kept spending & taxes WAY down. That's why the South is booming. It ain't just the weather that makes the South desirable!!! Well lo'& behold the Northerners w/ their Democratic mindset migrated here & voted in Democrats. NOW we're one of the states w/ the HIGHEST gas taxes. Wake up people & remember why you came here. My family is from Western-Buffalo NY area & we left there as Republicans cuz we knew how the Dems & their wild spending ruined the economny & how that spending raised taxes on ALL levels of Gov't i.e. city, school, county & State. Now it's happening here. Wake up voters!!!!
