ST. PAULS, N.C. (AP) -- A tanker accident has forced the shut down of southbound Interstate 95 in Robeson County between exits 33 and 41.
The Highway Patrol says a tanker truck overturned in the median and is leaking gasoline and diesel fuel.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident around ten this morning south of Fayetteville near Saint Pauls.
Highway Patrol spokesman Lieutenant Everett Clendenin says there's been some injuries but he's not sure to what extent.
State troopers are trying to detour travelers. The DOT reports that traffic is backed up for two to three miles as crews work to reopen one southbound lane.
Officials say cleanup will cause the delays to continue today.
