Insurance rates are rediculous enough in the 18 coastal counties in NC. I would agree that any dog can be trained to be docile, however if I were able to have children, the pit would not be a member of my household. Its hard having to put a dog down though, been there and done that. They are a member of your household. People 1st though, dogs 2nd. They are pack animals and pick up on everything you do or teach them.
