I remember as a kid 30+ years ago. Had to put up nets in swimming areas because of stinging jellyfish, and yes they major hurt, to the point if I see even one this gal is out of water! Typically storms bring em in, and next storm can (often) take them back out. Is a crap shoot as to where they show up next.
Jellies in hot summer has always been issue...
