READ MORE:
FAYETTEVILLE -- Investigators say a Fort Bragg soldier found dead at her mother's home in Hamlet last weekend died of natural causes. Twenty-eight-year-old Sgt. Kendale Blaine Carney was found about 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The 18th Airborne Corps sergeant was home on leave from Iraq. She was a food service specialist with the 503rd Maintenance Battalion, 507th Corps Support Group. Fort Bragg spokesman Tom McCollum told The Fayetteville Observer that investigators think Carney died of natural causes. Memorial services will be held at Fort Bragg and in Iraq, but no date has been set. Information from: The Fayetteville Observer, http://www.fayobserver.com (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press.
