The Cape Fear Chapter of the American Red Cross is helping potential victims of Gustav. So far, its sent one volunteer to the Gulf Coast. The Chapter's executive director says the reason why only one volunteer has been deployed, is because the organization needs to be fully staffed in case severe weather threatens our area. "We're keeping in our area close to home because we're closely watching the other systems that are surfacing in our area," Vicki LaBelle said, "of course, Tropical Storm Hannah is the most immediate potential impact to the Carolina coast." LaBelle says the best thing anyone can do to help is to make a donation to the Red Cross National Disaster Relief Fund. You can do that by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS.
