Leland residents got an inside look at their town from community leaders Tuesday night. The first Leland community forum was held at town hall. Residents heard reports from town officials, including the police chief and the public works director. They got their questions answered and learned what is going on in the various departments. Residents said it was informative, and showed the work the town does for them behind the scenes. Tom Mancari attended the community forum and said, "People ought to support the community and know what's going on. A lot of people are very quick to criticize and I think it's important to know the various departments and where to go for help." The meeting was the first of three Leland community forums, which are divided up based on neighborhoods. Tuesday night's focused on the part of town near Mallory Creek.
