The New Hanover County School Board met Tuesday night in a regular monthly session, but it was anything but a regular audience. An overflow crowd showed up just in case the school board decided to make a decision on middle school redistricting, but that decision is not expected until next month. The school board held three public forums on redistricting in October, and most parents are more than ready for a decision to be made. “That's our biggest fear. This has already been going on for four months now. The school board and the public are both ready to decide on this. We just don't want it to go beyond December,” said John Hirchak. There was no decision Tuesday night. The board will hold a special workshop on middle school redistricting on November 24th.
