you don't make 250k sitting on your rear end complaining that you didn't get yours i have worked my butt off in my job to climb the proverbial ladder, 12 years ago i started at a local construction co at 9.00 an hour today, 12 long years later i make over 60k no one gave me anything i earned it. and i'm proud that i did it with out goverment assistance and the people that earned over 250k have earned it and they deserve to keep it. tell the tree huggers and all of the "i can't stand on my own without the goverments help"., belive it or not hard work will not kill you. ya'll will love it if we the hard working have to give to you the slack for no other reason than you are to sorry to do for yourself

I have lived off of $20,000 per year and I did it with out getting a check from the government. I was in that 40% once that paid no taxes. Now I am not. But I guess if I can do it without Government Assistance I think others should be able to as well. I certainly don't want my hard earned money to be stolen by the government to fund more welfare. Thanks, but no thanks. OBAMA's plan is a ruse. HE IS A SOCIALIST that is FRIENDS with terrorists and that is a check you can take to the bank!

There are LOTS of legal loopholes to defer taxes or totally avoid taxes. Here are three uniformly consistent FACTS from Economics History. 1. Cutting taxes leads to rapid economic growth. (Ireland offers the most recent example.) If, however, you don't cut spending, it can lead to really hard times. 2. Raising taxes and dedicating the revenue to reduce debt will slow growth, but generally leads to a higher value currency and long-term moderate growth in the economy. (Clinton did this, but also adopted other policies that undid a lot of the good he intended to do.) 3. Raising taxes and using the money to fund additional new expenses that do not generate income invariably leads to economic stagnation. Let me explain that third rule for you. If we raise taxes and dedicate the money entirely to repairing the disintegrating infrastructure in this nation, we will create tens of thousands of new construction jobs, all of which will be generating income and payroll taxes. If, however, we raise taxes and simply increase EIC, as Obama wants to do, we simply take the money away from the people who earned it and give it to people who are most likely collecting EIC because they stink at life-management or financial-management in the first place. You accomplish nothing. Few EIC dollars ever make it into an IRA or a 529 Plan. Most of them go to purchase unnecessary extravagances, like a bigger TV, jewelry, of some nice chrome spinners. Far too many pay for alcohol, tobacco, and drugs. Meanwhile, you lost the investments that the money would have funded had the original earners been allowed to do with it as they chose. Let me explain THAT for you. If I invest twenty dollars in Progress Energy, that's twenty dollars they can put toward building a new substation, buying a new truck, or hiring a new worker. If Obama Claus takes that money away from me and gives it to an EIC recipient, that money goes to pay for....what? Cigarettes? Crack? Diapers? If you're only making $20k a year, I'd suggest getting off your butt and figuring out how to improve your earning potential. Don't sit around waiting for some Socialist messiah to save you, because you'll be sorely disappointed.

The simple fact is that the current estimate is that forty-five million Americans don't have health insurance. That means that two-hundred, fifty-five million Americans DO have health insurance. Pre-existing conditions raise premiums. If you are the one who has already suffered a heart attack, why should you and I pay the same premium? Insurance is a pure risk play, and the higher risk you are, the more you have to pay. It's called "economic reality." It's a joy to once again see someone who has made a voluntary decision regarding how they spend their money, yet bemoans a lack of health insurance. So let's go over this for the fiftieth time: **YOU** are making a decision to go to school full time. That's how you **WANT** to spend your time. If health insurance is all that important to you, you can easily stop going to school, save the money on books and lab fees, and get a part-time job to help pay for health insurance. YOU have made a decision to better yourself in hopes of finding a better job when you graduate. That's admirable (and much better than the woman who thought she could spend her money on clothes, a nice car, a nice apartment, and society should subsidize her health insurance) but in the meantime you have to gamble that you will not need health insurance. Bottom line? You can't have everything in life! You've chosen college over medical insurance. I hope that your gamble pays off. In the meantime, I'm not interested in paying extra taxes so that you CAN have it all.

You couldn't wait to finish school to start your family and now it is my problem? Why should I get punished by higher taxes because you couldn't keep your pants zipped, finish school and then get that great job with the wonderful benefits and pay? Or are you pursuing some useless field of study that will qualify you to ask if I want to super size my order?
