Washington, DC (NEWS RELEASE) – Rep. Mike McIntyre announced that he has an official U.S. House of Representatives Twitter account and encourages Southeastern North Carolina citizens to join him and stay informed about important issues and challenges facing our nation.
Congressman McIntyre stated, “Follow me on Twitter and keep up to date on the work I am doing to help Southeastern North Carolina. In this technology age, it is important that folks have the opportunity to communicate and dialogue with their elected officials. This is another tool that we will be using to do just that!”
McIntyre began tweeting last weekend as he helped commission the new naval destroyer, the U.S.S. Gravely, as well as his participation as a judge in the North Carolina Holiday Flotilla this past weekend. He posted thoughts today about the WikiLeaks document disclosure.
