Convention center construction due to start soon

WILMINGTON -- Signs of life are expected soon at the Wilmington convention center site. A construction trailer is due to move in this week. Crews will start tearing up Estelle Drive after that. The city started accepting new bids for the hotel project last week. The bidding period ends February 4.

This convention center is a terrible idea. There are so many things in this city that are far more important! What awful leadership!

I thought I heard the sound of money going down the drain. Here is the source of that sound. City of Wilmington just purchased another white elephant! Good job guys.
