UPDATE: Brunswick County locates missing man

Detectives with the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office are looking for a missing Calabash man. They say Andrew Jansky, 19, was last seen at Brunswick Community College around 12:30 yesterday afternoon.

Navassa man from Honduras facing child sex charges

A Honduran national arrested early Sunday in Brunswick County is accused of fondling himself in front of children and touching two girls in 2005 and 2010.

Former police chief testifies in own defense; closings tomorrow

video Closing arguments are scheduled for tomorrow morning in the trial for former Fair Bluff Police Chief Marty Lewis. Today Lewis took the witness stand in his own defense at the Columbus County Courthouse in Whiteville.

Dozens of dead sharks wash ashore in Oak Island

video It was a shocking sight for some residents of Oak Island on the beach yesterday when about 50 sharks were lying by the shore dead. Dozens of sharks washed ashore ranging anywhere between 1 to 4 feet in size, now the NC Division of Marine Fisheries investigated the situation and they think they know the cause.

Two men charged for LSD after tip at high school football game

The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office Drug Enforcement Unit has arrested two men on charges involving LSD after they got a tip one of the men was trying to sell the drug at a high school football game.
