Flags lowered for Judge Carroll; funeral arrangements set

Friends tell us Carroll died yesterday just days after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He had served on the bench in New Hanover and Pender Counties for more than a decade.

Historic Wilmington Foundation plaque honors historic federal building

The Historic Wilmington Foundation honored a piece of Port City history today. The group presented its James and Rosalie Carr Memorial Plaque to the historic US Customs House, which is better known as the Alton A. Lennon Fderal Building downtown.

WPD arrest man for shooting at nightclub

videoWilmington Police have arrested a man for a shooting at a nightclub early this morning. Walter Rogers Harvin, 32, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, after a shooting at The Edge at 1219 S. 5th Street.
