Ben David

Ben David is a fascist just like every other representative we elect that says they'll fight for "our" cause etc. but ends up giving us the run around,I have never seen him down low with the unwanted,or any other county politician for that matter, there will come a day when the facade will fall down & who will be there for them?
Less government,more democracy,for the people,by the people.

Facist

I don't normally respond to posts. But apparently you don't know your history or you are a complete jerk! You try to quote Abraham Lincoln in your silly facist quotes. There is no comparison between democracy and "facism" or are calling everyone in America who believe what Lincoln said, A house divided can not stand, this democracy is for the people, and by the people. You must have read Hitler's Mein Kampt. The Nazi's were all against people like you. I know. My mom was raised in Munich Germany during Hitlers regime. Now she lives in the United States. Maybe you need to leave the states and take homage in a country that believes in your stand. It would be for the best of us and the likes of people like you to do it. If you don't like this country and it's laws, no one is keeping you here. Thank-you.

Ben David

Perhaps like the majority of mentally stable, English-speaking Earthlings, he has no idea what "down low with the unwanted" even means....?

Whatever your misguided rant is about....

...I haven't a clue. This article is about the DA clearing an officer that protected the public from a lunatic with a gun by shooting and disabling him. It occurs in every case of a shooting involving a public servant such as a police officer.

Ben David is not a representative, he is THE District Attorney of New Hanover county. That means "head prosecutor" for the people of our county. As I've seen it, he has been very proactive and served the people of NHC well. He and his staff have a very responsible job to do.

Whatever your gripe is, especially in reference to him as a facist, I'm sure he would like to hear from you in person about that, but it's highly unlikely that will occur.

It is truly amazing the brave and caustic statements that are made in these anonymous forums.

Good

It really sucks that it was even pondered about charges for the officers. They did the job we pay them for and then risk prosecution for doing that job??

I agree

If the Officer got shot, it would make page 2 of the local section of the Star-News. Whenever a Officer has to use the amount of force to protect people, some certain "facists" have to respond. If you feel like you can do a better job and change these people that have no respect for human life, apply to be a cop, and then you can change the world.

I can absolutely positively guarantee you....

...that had this idiot pointed a weapon at me, he would have been shot equa-distant between the shoulders and about ten inches lower. He should send a thank-you note the officer that shot him for either being a nice guy or muffing the shot.

Either way, he has nothing to gripe about.
