Daily Weather Report

WEATHER SUMMARY: The latest in a series of Arctic high pressure systems will control our weather into the weekend. Temperatures will continue to stay well below our average highs both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday be the brighter of the two days this weekend. As the high shifts offshore it will start to pump in some Atlantic moisture. This, along with a coastal trough developing will increase our chances for a few showers Sunday.

Looking ahead to next week, a front will come through Monday with a chance for more showers. A second, stronger front arrives sometime Thursday. Warmer air in the 70s is expected to surge into the Cape Fear area Wednesday. Depending on how quick Thursday's front is, the warmer air may stick around Thursday before much cooler air arrives behind the front.
