WEATHER SUMMARY: A cold front continues its journey off the coast early this morning, producing showers mainly along the coast then. Sky conditions improve hour by hour with sunshine in full effect by the afternoon. Then, the cold air filters into the Carolinas. You'll feel it as soon as this evening with temperatures eventually dropping to the 20s onvernight. The weekend starts off chilly but sun-filled.

The next front arrives Sunday night into Monday. Any showers associated with this front should hold off until overnight Sunday and into early on Monday. That means Super Bowl grill-out should be dry!

Today: Showers around early, mainly along the coast. Highs in the 50s.

Tonight: Clear and bone-chilling cold. Lows in the mid to upper 20s.

Saturday: Sunny and chilly. Highs in the mid to upper 40s. Lows near freezing.
