Danny Pence murder profiled on national TV show


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- A local murder case is being profiled on a national cable TV channel tonight.

Danny Pence was a Laney High School honor student who was beaten to death in 1995, during a ploy to steal his car. Twenty-year-old Todd Boggess and his 14-year-old girlfriend, Melanie Gray, were convicted of Pence's murder.

The case will be featured Monday at 9 p.m. on the Investigation Discovery Channel. Solved: Extreme Forensics airs on Time Warner Digital channel 251 (1251 HD) and again at midnight.

i remember hanging out at johnny mercers pier and walking down and seeing that couple talking too that kid and all of them get in and drive off.

next couple of days it was announced that they killed him.
